This accessibility statement applies to the urbanintelligence.co.uk marketing website. It does notapply to PlaceMaker, which has its own accessibility statement published within the authenticated application for each council tenant.
Urban Intelligence wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example,that means you should be able to:
· resize text without losing content or functionality
· navigate the site using a keyboard alone
· use the site with a screen reader

This site is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications)(No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, which apply to public sector bodies rather than private companies. We’re publishing this statement voluntarily.
A lightweight automated check of the homepage found the following known issues:
· Most images are missing alternative text. 57 of 69 images on the homepage have no alt attribute, meaning screen reader users won’t get a text description of them.
· Multiple top-level headings on one page. The homepage has 16 H1-level headings;a page should normally have one, to give a clear document structure for assistive technology.
· Heading levels are skipped in places. Heading levels jump (for example, from H1 straight to H6) rather than descending in order, which can make the page harder to navigate with a screen reader.
· Some links have no accessible text or label. 5 links on the homepage have no visible text or label a screen reader could announce.
· Not yet checked: colour contrast, keyboard-only navigation,other pages on the site, and the demo-booking/contact form. This statement will be updated once a fuller review has been carried out.
